So it - yeah, I really was thinking to myself oh, that's a really big job. GROBAN: No, I really - I was not - I did not - I mean, I grew up - I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but my parents are kind of, like real world. And also, like, I've got this history test. ![]() So I said to him oh, man, you know, I'm a baritone, he's a tenor. You're just so kind of into everything that's in your myopic high school world. Hey, would you mind stepping in for him? And, you know, when you're 17, you just - you have no sense of, like, this is my moment. GROBAN: It's like a star-is-born kind of thing. It's very - one of the kind of last kind of old-school Hollywood I feel like. So that story which we've read a number of places, is that true? The 65-year-old actor recently launched his 'Six Degrees with Kevin Bacon' podcast, which features a variety of celebrity guests and seeks to raise the profile of various non-profit organisations. Kevin Bacon hopes his new podcast will help to bring people "one degree closer to non-profits making a positive impact in the world".
